Lifes purpose is in my opinion to
learn. To learn the lessons of life.
We all have to learn our own particular lessons. And when we have
learned a lesson, we are allowed to upgrade to the next level in the
school of life
If you don't
learn your lesson the first time, you will met the same
problem again and again until you understand it. When this happens we
meet our self on a deep level, see the mistakes we made unconsciously.
Then we change our way of thinking, feeling and our behavior. As a
seemingly magical result the problem we had to deal with disappears as
snow for the sun.
Finding
your purpose
To find the purpose of your life, that means the lessons you have to
learn, simply look at your life up until now. Which problems have you
met again and again? Which problems were or are so in front of you that
you became interested in the subject so you know now everything about
it?
You know everything about it, but don't take
action to solve the
problem? Which fear do you have to overcome? Which habits do you have
to change?
The
misunderstanding is that if we have gotten what we want, we will be
happy. There is nothing wrong by that but happiness is a fleeting
feeling. If you should have everything you want you will long for
something else, it is like a horizon: you desire to be there but you
will never reach the horizon, only the place where you saw it at a
certain
distance.
So if you want to be happy and are
convinced that you only
can be it by chasing new experiences, they will only satisfy you for
the
short term.
Do you remember where you longed for the
most as a child? What did you
like the most to do? What did you expect from life? How did you expect
it would come to you? When did you understand you were self responsible
and found your way? Or are you still seeking?
What I wrote
about
desires
and the power in you to achieve them has
everything to do with your life purpose. Lifes purpose is to integrate
polarities of several kinds. Your desires with your actions, your
strong with your weak points, your light sides with your shadow sides.
Every power has its weakness and every weakness has
its power. Find the
treasure within you.
Who
are you?
Most important is the difference between the "I" and the "Self". Your
Self is who you are, it is your identity, personality, skills, values,
strengths and everything else that makes up who you are. Your "I" is
the part of you that thinks only of you, your needs and wants. It is
interested in satisfying only a part of you.
The
Self, the authentic
you, wants to be respected and honored. It wants to be loved and to
love, it is you at your most powerful and joyful. The self is not
interested in just happiness, it wants you to be your highest self,
irrespective of how you may feel at the moment.
How
you feel at the
moment is just a sign that you
are on track or not. If it feels good,
you are on track to achieve your lifes purpose. If not, you're not on
track and have to change something.
So the
challenge is to learn, to ask yourself daily what you have
learned, what you have improved in your behavior. To reflect on your
actions. Your actions are caused by your feelings, your feelings by
your thoughts and your thoughts by your beliefs about yourself, your
life and other people.
Are you able to be up front to people, not
hiding behind your feelings,
fears or other reactions? Can you speak for yourself? Life's purpose
is about removing the layers
that you have build around you during your life so that you can
discover again who you are. If you are, you can give freely to others.
