Steps for Personal Goal Setting and Daily Motivation

The motivation about you daily personal goal setting depends on your planning.

Do you meet difficulties in staying motivated during your daily life? I hope these tips will make a difference.

Most of us have a daily planning. So this time we start with your planning. If you are someone who never plan your days, I recommend you to do so because a planning gives direction and will help you to stay motivated along the day.

Make your planning a day before. Your tasks will exist out of three main categories:
  • daily routine tasks;
  • tasks who are part of a long term goal you have set;
  • relaxation and fun (if this is not on your planning, make it a goal to have more of it in your life).
To prevent time shortage plan 80% of your time, the other 20% will be used by telephone calls and other interruptions that are not possible to plan.

What makes that you remain motivated? The best way is to do everything with focus and concentration. That way you will work properly. If you allow yourself to be distracted you will get tired because of all information that comes to you and because it isn't going to get you anywhere. Look here for a goal setting plan that explains this.

Before you start with a task on your planning take a moment to imagine how it will be when it's done in its best way. How will you feel? This will help your motivation also.

If there are things to do that you resist or not look forward to, put yourself a reward in prospect.

Look during the day to what you have done in stead of what you didn't yet.

If there is some particular thing you don't look forward to, you need to change this. If there is on average more than about 20% of your daily tasks that you don't look forward, you have to change this for sure.

In your personal goal setting you can start with the steps now.
.
First take a moment to receive what you have got. Look at the situation "as is". Then ask yourself how you would like to be it. Make a plan to tide over the gap using the steps outlined on this site.

This can be done for small things, like not knowing how to organize your housekeeping in a simple manner or big things like a job that doesn't fit you (anymore).

Make room for yourself and then plan time to work on these goals that will change your life and be most profitable on the long run.

If you do not see results as fast as you want, be patient and persist. If that doesn't work, take an other approach. If you know that it will take much time to achieve your goals, imagine often to stay motivated and be confident.

Personal goal setting and daily motivation need each other. Without motivation you will never reach the goals you have set. And without goals you never will be motivated.
